Our lab at Stony Brook University (www.EnikolopovLab.org) has several NIH-supported openings for postdoctoral researchers who are interested in understanding the neural circuitry and stem cell compartments associated with Alzheimer's disease, HIV1 infection, and social conflict. The open positions involve collaborations between our laboratory and researchers with expertise in computational neuroscience (Alex Koulakov, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory), machine learning (Dimitris Samaras, Stony Brook University), and immunology and metabolism (Michael Bukrinsky, George Washington University).
The ideal candidate should be collegial, creative, and deeply interested in neurobiology. We are particularly interested in the candidates with expertise in imaging, circuit analysis, neurogenesis, and stem cells. A PhD, MD, or equivalent degree in neuro-, developmental-, or molecular biology and one or more first author peer reviewed publications are required.
Our lab is at the Center for Developmental Genetics which brings together groups that are interested in molecular and development biology, stem cells, and neurobiology. It shares space and is closely integrated with the Department of Neurobiology, Life Science Center, and the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook. The whole place is very intense, collegial, and deeply committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment.
Please email your CV and a brief statement of research interests to grigori.enikolopov@stonybrook.edu. I plan to attend the SfN meeting in DC and I would be happy to meet with potential candidates who are interested in learning more about available projects.
