The Department of Psychology in the College of Science at the University of Texas at Arlington invites applications for TWO open-rank and open-area tenure-track faculty positions (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). We are seeking candidates with expertise in behavioral and brain science who can complement our existing strengths in the area(s) of cognition, health, and/or neuroscience. The use of innovative methodological or analytic approaches (e.g., physiological, neuroimaging, computational modeling, artificial intelligence, etc.) is desirable and research aimed at understanding brain health (e.g., healthy aging, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, mental health, or neurological disorders, etc.) in either human or animal research will be viewed favorably. A track record of external funding will be weighed significantly for senior positions. UT Arlington is currently establishing a Clinical Imaging Research Center that will house a 3 Tesla MRI dedicated to research. The university also plans to launch the Arlington Study of Healthy Aging, an interdisciplinary initiative aimed at understanding the mechanisms of age-related functional decline. Competitive applications that align with these strategic initiatives will be given special consideration. We are proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package to all our employees at the University.
