This is a full-time, teaching-focused, non-tenure track, nine-month faculty appointment with full benefits and opportunity for multiyear contracts and promotion. George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason’s academic and culturally inclusive environment.

Responsibilities:

We are a growing program with diverse students and faculty. We are looking for an enthusiastic, student-centered colleague that will teach and develop advanced undergraduate and graduate neuroscience courses to contribute to the expansion of the program. Specific duties include teaching a standard course load (typically 4:4 or 3:3 if you serve as an academic advisor). Courses may include introductory neuroscience, core neuroscience courses and lecture or laboratory courses in the individual’s area of expertise. The successful candidate will assist with program duties such as academic advising, program development, committee work, outreach, and new student events. This is a great opportunity for an energetic and collaborative scholar who especially enjoys teaching and working with undergraduates. Course reductions may be available for administrative duties or new course development.
