Positions are available for postdoctoral fellows to investigate the neural mechanisms of planning and mental simulation in the laboratory of Daeyeol Lee at Johns Hopkins University. We are interested in how the process of integrating the information about the animal’s current state with the internal representation of the environment (cognitive map) unfolds in the brain. Leveraging several high-density silicon probes, we seek to understand the nature of dynamic interface between multiple areas of the primate brain, including the prefrontal cortex, basal ganglia, and hippocampus. For more information about the past and current projects in our lab, please visit our website: jhu.edu/leelab.
Previous experience with behavioral training and neural recording in non-human primates is desirable and but not required. Ideal candidates would also possess strong quantitative skills and experience with computational modeling. Interested scientists should contact Daeyeol Lee (daeyeol@jhu.edu) with an e-mail introduction, CV, and contact information for 3 references.
