Neural Circuit Development and Function/Postdoctoral Researcher

A postdoctoral training position is available in the laboratory of Yingxi Lin, in the Psychiatry Neuroscience Research Division in the Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center to study experience-dependent neural circuit functions.  Our laboratory has several exciting, NIH-funded projects related to learning and memory, memory discrimination and generalization, neurodevelopmental disorders, and neurogenetic tool development.

 

Candidates must hold a recent Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree in Neuroscience or any related biomedical fields. Experience in one or more of the following areas leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals is recommended:

1) Molecular and cellular Neuroscience, biochemistry, and mouse genetics;

2) Transcription regulation, transcriptome analysis, including single-cell RNA-seq and single-cell ATAC-seq;

3) Slice electrophysiology, neural circuit mapping, fiber photometry, and in vivo Ca2+ imaging;

4) Mouse behavioral analyses and manipulations, including optogenetics and chemogenetics.
