As part of continuing growth in biology, the School of Biological Sciences (biosci.gatech.edu) at
the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for an open rank tenure-track faculty
position in physiology. The position is open to research programs spanning from molecular, cellular
through systems-level approaches to understanding physiological function in health and disease. We
are particularly interested in applicants exploring any combination of modeling, computational, and
experimental approaches to address fundamental questions about physiology across scales and
interactions among function, behavior, and environment. Candidates will be favored if their
research enhances the school's existing strengths in basic sensorimotor neurophysiology, movement
science, neurorehabilitation, biomechanics and comparative biology. Successful candidates will
engage with the Applied Physiology graduate program
(https://biosciences.gatech.edu/graduate/phd-applied-physiology), the interdisciplinary
Quantitative Biosciences Graduate Program (https://qbios.gatech.edu/), and others across the
college and broader Institute (https://cos.gatech.edu/graduate-programs). Candidates must
demonstrate all of the following: research productivity, academic experience and clear evidence of
effective teaching in biological sciences.
