Post-doctoral Fellowship in Psychiatry and Neuroscience

Johns Hopkins Interdisciplinary Psychiatry and Neuroscience T32 Training Program

Department of Psychiatry and the Lieber Institute, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine

Director, Russell L. Margolis, M.D.

Co-Directors, Christopher A. Ross, M.D., PhD.; Daniel Weinberger, M.D.

The Johns Hopkins Interdisciplinary Psychiatry and Neuroscience T32 Training Program has immediate openings for post-doctoral fellows who seek to use the methods and tools of neuroscience to study the neurobiology of psychiatric disorders, including, but not limited to, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, stress and anxiety, eating disorders, and autism.  Methods range from genetics to molecular biology and protein biochemistry to cell and animal models to advanced MRI, PET, and electrophysiology to bioinformatics.

All fellows will have access to the extensive Core facilities of Johns Hopkins.  Many T32 faculty are clinician-scientists who work with the patient populations under investigation, facilitating the interface between clinical and laboratory investigations.  Previous post-doctoral fellows have obtained faculty appointments at Johns Hopkins and other academic institutions, as well as excellent positions in industry and the NIH.

We are seeking applicants with a serious and demonstrated interest in the neurobiology of psychiatric disorders, including research experience and demonstrated productivity.  Applicants should have an MD, PhD or equivalent, with fluency in spoken and written English.  Individuals completing a psychiatry residency are particular encouraged to apply.

Eligibility is limited to US citizens and permanent residents.

Johns Hopkins is strongly committed to building a diverse educational and work environment: Women, individuals from under-represented minority groups, with disabilities, or from disadvantaged backgrounds are encouraged to apply.  The Johns Hopkins University is an EEO/AAA Employer.
