Faculty Position in Neuroscience. The Neuroscience Institute (NI) at Georgia State University (GSU), a dynamic research (R1) institution located in the heart of Atlanta, GA, invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Applicants whose research focuses on modern genetic, molecular, and/or cellular approaches to study important questions in neuroscience will be given highest priority. We also welcome applications from individuals whose research complements existing interdisciplinary and collaborative strengths of the NI (https://neuroscience.gsu.edu/). Candidates must hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D., and (i) a demonstrated capacity to publish peer-reviewed research, (ii) a demonstrated record of pursuing, or high potential to acquire, external research funding, and (iii) the ability to contribute to the NI’s graduate and undergraduate teaching mission. Preferred qualifications include teaching interests in the areas of cellular, molecular, and/or developmental neuroscience. Applicants should provide the following: 1) Cover letter (2 page limit); 2) Curriculum vitae; 3) Statement of research plans (3 page limit); 4) Statement of teaching philosophy (2 page limit); 5) Names and contact information for three references.
