The Epilepsy Surgery Team at Nationwide Children’s hospital are leaders in the growing field of Epilepsy Surgery. We seek to hire a Neurophysiology Specialist to join the interdisciplinary team that includes: pediatric neurologists/epileptologists, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, ophthalmologists, neuropsychologists and behavioral specialists, and several other disciplines to support our level 4 Epilepsy Center. 

Our level 4 Epilepsy Center at Nationwide Children’s Hospital includes a cutting-edge Neurodiagnostic Program with an advanced Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU).  Accredited by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC), the EMU is a unit specifically designed for children to receive the essential long-term EEG monitoring for pre-surgical evaluation and post-operative tests.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Interpretation and analysis of electroencephalogram (EEG), including high-density EEG and intracranial EEG Expertise and proficiency in analysis and interpretation of clinically acquired neurophysiology data Working with clinical neurophysiologists to analyze multimodal neurophysiology and radiographic data for EEG course localization and 3D modeling, alongside structural and functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Interpretation and review of data, including report writing and manuscript writing Liaise with clinical and translational researchers in support of the Epilepsy Surgery Program Education and collaboration with attendings, fellows, residents, graduate students, and staff

Preferred Qualifications:

PhD in Neurophysiology, Neuroscience, Engineering, or related field Ability to collaboratively engage and support the clinical and research team environment Desirable candidate would have 2+ years in a clinical and academic research setting Excellent written and verbal communication
