The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City is searching for an outstanding postdoctoral fellow interested in studying the neurobiology of Alzheimer’s disease in animal models and human postmortem tissue at Ana Pereira’s Laboratory using a translational approach. Candidates should have a strong background in molecular and cell biology and have experience with the following techniques: cell culture, DNA/RNA isolation, western blot, PCR/qRT-PCR and immunohistochemical labeling. Candidates will also be responsible for working with a research assistant to maintain a colony f transgenic mice to be used for molecular and behavioral experiments
Applicants should have a Ph.D./M.D. with research experience in neuroscience or cellular and molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
An interest in neurodegeneration will be highly valued. A demonstrated track record of self-motivation, ability to work independently at the bench, enthusiasm, and scientific rigor is necessary.
