The University of Florida is the flagship campus of the State of Florida University System and is ranked as the #5 best public US university according to US News and World Report. The University of Florida Health Sciences Center is the country’s only academic health center with six health-related colleges on a single, contiguous campus. The Department of Neuroscience in the College of Medicine is the second-oldest neuroscience department in the country and ranks among the top 5 in NIH research funding. The Department offers a rich academic environment in molecular, cellular, and systems neuroscience. Excellent opportunities exist to collaborate with Ph.D. and physician-scientists through the McKnight Brain Institute and faculty in basic and clinical departments in the College of Medicine and across campus. The successful candidates will be part of an academic community that prioritizes innovation, creativity, and collaboration, and that fosters each individual’s professional goals.

The Department of Neuroscience at the University of Florida (UF) invites applications for multiple open-rank, tenure-track faculty positions. The successful candidate will be positioned to develop an innovative research program that complements or expands existing strengths in neurodegeneration, neuroinflammation, cognitive and psychiatric vulnerabilities across the lifespan, traumatic brain injury, and neurovascular diseases. UF is committed being on the leading edge of research and development in artificial intelligence and neuroscience researchers who can interface with, and contribute to, this initiative are particularly encouraged to apply. We seek highly collaborative colleagues, who will conduct outstanding, extramurally supported research, and who are excited to contribute to our growing training programs.
