The Department of Physiology in the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at an open rank.  Outstanding applicants with cutting-edge research programs are strongly encouraged to apply. Successful candidates are expected to establish vigorous independent programs of extramurally funded research to complement the research strengths and goals of the Department and the University.

 

The successful candidate will join a vibrant and growing Department that is home to an interdisciplinary team of scientists working to enhance knowledge of fundamental and emerging principles in cardiovascular, neurovascular, endocrine and renal disease mechanisms. We bring together a broad range of expertise and approaches from whole animal, organ and cellular model systems combined with molecular signaling, imaging and multi-omics analyses to facilitate partnerships that lead to innovative research projects. In addition, the successful candidate will receive a competitive start-up package and be assigned laboratory and office space in state-of-the-art research facilities. There is a strong institutional commitment to core facilities, graduate programs, and an interdisciplinary approach that promotes collaborations within and across departmental lines.
