The Department of Physiology at Tulane University School of Medicine invites applications for three tenured/tenure-track faculty positions in physiology. The Department seeks to expand its strengths in preclinical and translational physiology with new faculty hires in cardiovascular and renal physiology, neuroscience, and metabolic diseases.

Successful candidates will use whole-animal physiology, electrophysiology, and/or molecular and genetic tools to solve important biomedical problems in drug discovery, signaling, metabolism, and sex-differences. Excellent opportunities are available to collaborate with PhD and physician scientists through the Hypertension and Renal Center of Excellence, the Center of Excellence Sex-Based Biology and Medicine, the Aging Center, and the Brain Institute. Applicants are expected to be highly collaborative and integrate well with a growing number of researchers and physician scientists of the Tulane University School of Medicine.

Demonstration of sustained grant or equivalent support is required for appointments at a mid-career or senior rank. Tenure status and rank of the position will be based on the qualifications of the applicant.

Applicants are asked to provide a cover letter, CV, statement of research interest, and contact information of three references for review by the search committee. Do not upload additional materials to this application. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until the positions are filled.
