The Department seeks to expand its strengths in preclinical and translational physiology with new faculty hires in cardiovascular and renal physiology, neuroscience, and metabolic diseases.

Successful candidates will use whole-animal physiology, electrophysiology, and/or molecular and genetic tools to solve important biomedical problems in drug discovery, signaling, metabolism, and sex-differences. Excellent opportunities are available to collaborate with PhD and physician scientists through the Hypertension and Renal Center of Excellence, the Center of Excellence Sex-Based Biology and Medicine, the Aging Center, and the Brain Institute. Applicants are expected to be highly collaborative and integrate well with a growing number of researchers and physician scientists of the Tulane University School of Medicine.
