The Psychology Department and the Program in Neuroscience at Central Michigan University (CMU) is seeking an outstanding candidate for a postdoctoral position in the area of recovery of function following CNS injury or disease. The successful candidate will work with Professor Gary L. Dunbar, contributing to an exciting, large-scale effort to test potential treatments for CNS insult, including spinal cord injury, stroke, glioblastoma, Huntington’s disease, and Alzheimer’s disease. Both in vitro and in vivo methods are used, so a broadly trained candidate who has expertise in cell/molecular/genetic as well as behavioral neuroscience techniques is sought.
Required Qualifications Ph.D. in a neuroscience-related discipline and a background in testing potential therapies for CNS deficits. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. CMU, an AA/EO institution, strongly and actively strives to increase diversity and provide equal opportunity within its community.
