(updated on June 22nd, 2023) The laboratory of Fuzheng Guo, PhD, at UC Davis School of Medicine and the Institute for Pediatric Regenerative Medicine (IPRM) of Shriners hospitals for Children, Sacramento CA, is seeking two postdoc researchers for NIH and foundation grants in the lab. Research interest in the Guo lab is glial cell biology and pathology and has centers on the molecular mechanisms of glial cell development, injury, and regeneration in the central nervous system, with a particular focus on CNS myelination, demyelination, and remyelination in demyelinating disorders.

We seek highly self-motivated creative postdoctoral researchers. Successful applicants must have first-authored peer review publication(s).  Applicants with prior work experience in animal models of diseases (toxin or inflammation-induced demyelination models, hypoxia-ischemia models) and glial cell characterization are highly encouraged. Expertise in electrophysiological recording of CNS glia or neurons is advantageous.
