Two postdoctoral associate research positions are available in the Bordey Lab at Yale University. The main goal of the lab is to gain insights into the causes of epilepsy and autism in a classical disorder of the mTOR signaling pathway, Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, in hope to develop novel treatments. To accomplish this, we use a broad range of approaches at the cellular, molecular and circuit levels.

We have the following projects: 1) Test the efficiency of gene therapy on seizure activity in mouse models of TSC. 2) Identify the impact of TSC gene variants on ribosome biogenesis and DNA repair. 3) Examine the contribution of newly identified dysregulated molecules on autistic traits in TSC.

Postdoctoral associates are encouraged to set up collaborations with other labs if needed, participate in research and progress talks, and attend lectures and scientific retreats at Yale. Postdoctoral associates will also have the opportunity to participate in scientific meetings once or twice a year.

Candidates with expertise in cellular and molecular biology, in utero electroporation, AAV injections, and/or video-EEG and with several scientific publications are preferred. We welcome candidates with high motivation, curiosity, and scientific maturity. Candidates should also have strong teamwork skills and work ethics.

Interested candidates should send CV, a short cover letter describing past research experience and future career goals, and the names and contact information of three references to angelique.bordey@yale.edu.
