REALIZE YOUR FULL POTENTIAL AS A MEDICAL SCIENCE LIAISON
Ready for a change, a new career, an opportunity to use your valuable experience and skills that you labored to acquire in academia? If so, then consider a career in Pharma as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL).
We are recruiting for MSL positions in the northeast (NYC, NJ preferred), south central (Houston preferred), north central (Chicago. preferred) and mid-west (Denver, KS, preferred). Not living in these areas? There may be some support for relocation.
The MSL position is for professionals who enjoy engaging in discussions on disease states and pharmacotherapies, and performing a variety of activities that rely on analytical, communicative, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Here are job responsibilities (not inclusive):
- Develop peer-level relationships with medical and scientific experts, healthcare professionals and managed markets customers.
- Deliver appropriate clinical and scientific information on disease states and treatment options, disseminating information regionally and nationally.
- Provide information that educates healthcare professionals on appropriate use of pharmacotherapies.
- Respond to inquiries with clinical and scientific information that is up-to-date, focused and fair-balanced.
- Educate and mentor company colleagues within therapeutic areas of interest to Company.
- Sustain expertise in disease state management, emergent technologies and the competitive landscape.
- Adhere to internal standard processes and comply with regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Provide project leadership and management in and across field team and therapeutic area.
Here are requirements (not inclusive):
- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) in biological sciences (neuroscience preferred), pharmacology or medicine
- 3 or more years of experience in biological sciences (neurosciences preferred), pharmacology, pharmacy, medicine or equivalent
- Demonstrated expertise in discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and project management skills
- Knowledgeable on using resources for accessing scientific and clinical information, and Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
This is a great career transition/advancement opportunity. You will work with bright, energetic, enthusiastic colleagues (many are former academicians) preparing to launch a new therapy in Parkinson's disease, very exciting times indeed. The Company, people and culture are supportive and appreciative, and the Medical Affairs/MSL leadership and team are outstanding! The compensation package is competitive.
Sounds interesting? Then take the first step and let’s talk.
