Job Description
Visiting Assistant Professor in Neuroscience. Pomona College invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in the Department of Neuroscience. The area of specialty is open, but we especially encourage applications in the area of computational neuroscience. Teaching load is the equivalent of five courses per year. The selected candidate will have successful experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and a commitment to improving higher education for members of underrepresented groups. Pomona College, the founding member of the Claremont Colleges Consortium, is a highly selective liberal arts college attracting a diverse student body. Neuroscience is the interdisciplinary study of the nervous system and its relationship to mental processes and behavior that has led to new ways of thinking about the nature of human behavior, the mind-brain basis of health and disease, and technologic innovations.
