Assistant/Associate Professor of Medical Education, Department of Neuroscience and Cell Biology


The Department of Neuroscience and Cell Biology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) is seeking applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, faculty position in medical education. The successful candidate will co-direct the Neuroscience, Neurology and Behavioral Science content and contribute to learning within the medical school’s new, integrated curriculum. Teaching activities include Team-based Learning, Lectures, an integrated Neuroanatomy lab and Histology. There are numerous, exciting opportunities for scholarly and educational development and collaboration with core educators and clinicians as the school develops its new curriculum and transitions to a new state-of-the-art medical education building in 2025.

 

Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is located on the New Brunswick/Piscataway campus of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. As one of the nation’s leading comprehensive medical schools, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in education, research, health care delivery, and the promotion of community health. In cooperation with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, the medical school’s principal affiliate, they comprise New Jersey’s premier academic medical center. In addition, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School has 34 other hospital affiliates and ambulatory care sites throughout the region. Department of Neuroscience & Cell Biology

 

Qualified candidates must have experience teaching Medical Neuroscience within a medical or health-professional school and have evidence of excellence and productivity related to directing a medical Neuroscience course. Candidates must have a Doctoral degree (M.D. or Ph.D.). This appointment will be made at an academic rank commensurate with experience. Candidates are expected to develop a scholarly research program in the area of medical education.
