A Postdoctoral Research Associate Position is immediately available for a funded research project in the lab of Professor Jennifer Hill in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at the University of Toledo. The successful applicant will investigate the role that astrocyte insulin sensitivity plays in pubertal timing and adult reproduction. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in neuroscience or a related field, research experience with stereotaxic surgeries in rodents, and experience in the use of AAVs, genetic mouse models, microscopy, and FISH/IHC in brain sections. Applicants must be motivated and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in the design, performance, troubleshooting, and analysis of experiments using computer data analysis and graphic programs. They should have excellent written and oral communication skills and must be responsible in maintaining animal protocol compliance.
