Postdoctoral Researcher
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Haam in the Department of Biological Sciences at Louisiana State University (http://haamlab.org). Dr. Haam’s laboratory is interested in understanding the neural circuit basis of memory formation using cutting-edge experimental and computational approaches. The research projects will utilize multidisciplinary approaches that combine photometry, electrophysiology, miniature endoscopy, rodent behavior, histology, and computational analysis to investigate memory circuits in the entorhinal cortex and their interactions with the hippocampal and neocortical regions. This could be a great opportunity for a researcher who has experience in some of the approaches listed but has the desire to get training on other approaches to tackle important questions in the memory consolidation mechanism during sleep.
The candidate should hold a PhD with a solid background in neuroscience, biology, or related disciplines.
