The Department of Pharmacology and Physiology at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position to be filled at the assistant/associate/or full professor level. We seek a dynamic scientist working at the intersection of the nervous and immune systems who complements departmental and school strengths in the neural basis of stress, systemic homeostasis, autonomic regulation, and neural degeneration. We encourage applications from members of groups that are traditionally underrepresented in science and medicine.

Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining an externally-funded research program, participating in medical and graduate student education, and engaging in institutional service. The potential to develop cross-disciplinary collaborations within and outside the department is essential. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary commensurate with experience and a competitive start-up package. 

Basic Qualifications:  Applicants must hold a PhD and/or MD or equivalent in an appropriate discipline with a demonstrable track record of research productivity as evidenced by publications and funding potential.
