A NIH-funded position is immediately available to investigate the molecular mechanisms governing endothelial dysfunction. The candidate must have experience in molecular, cell biology and in vivo mouse models (e.g. stroke, sepsis). Our research team studies the molecular and cellular mechanisms governing endothelial dysfunction with a special emphasis on exploring the therapeutic potential of the endothelium to prevent tissue injury and promote repair in the context of cerebrovascular diseases and systemic inflammatory response syndrome/sepsis. We routinely use molecular and cellular biology approaches, as well as mouse models of vascular injury.
