Postdoc positions are available at University of California, San Diego. We are interested in development, function and diseases of neural circuits. For neural circuit development, we are studying mechanisms underlying the formation of neuronal connectivity including synapse formation, synaptic specificity and axon wiring. For nervous system disorders, we are working on neuron-glia interaction/neuroinflammation in injury and repair (spinal cord injury), neurodegenerative (Alzheimer’s) and neuropsychiatric disorders (depression). The experimental approaches include, but not limited to, CRISPR-based strategies, single cell transcriptomics, mass spectrometry, super resolution microscopy, light sheet microscopy, electron microscopy, two-photon imaging, organotypic cultures, spinal cord and brain injury models, viral tracing, biochemical and molecular analyses, electrophysiology, miniature microscope, fiber photometry, and behavioral tests (sensory, motor, cognitive, social and emotional).
