The Campbell lab is seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral scientist interested in the neurobiology of pain. Our emphasis is on understanding the contributions of translational and post-transcriptional controls to chronic pain. In specific, we seek candidates with the following qualifications:
· Ph. D. in Neuroscience, Physiology, Pharmacology, or related field
· A minimum of two first author papers published or accepted in peer-reviewed journals
· Strong background in behavior (experience with pain models is highly desirable)
· Familiarity with animal surgery, mouse genotyping, confocal microscopy, western blots, and primary cell culture
· Creative thinking skills and excellence in problem solving
· Ability to work collaboratively
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Strong proficiency in the English language
· Innate source of curiosity
· Enthusiasm to learn new methods and test new hypotheses
Opportunities:
