Assistant Professor, Clinical Neuropsychology/Cognitive Neuroscience

The Department of Psychology at the University of Arizona invites candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Clinical Neuropsychology or Clinical Cognitive Neuroscience to begin August, 2023. We particularly welcome applicants whose research emphasizes culture, diversity, or health disparities, and whose research connects with established department strengths in aging, clinical psychology, and brain sciences. The successful candidate will be expected to build and sustain an externally funded, nationally recognized research program, provide effective instruction at the graduate and undergraduate level, and contribute to the mission of our PhD Clinical Program, which adheres to a clinical science training model and is jointly-accredited by both the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS) and the American Psychological Association’s Commission on Accreditation (CoA). The ideal candidate also will provide clinical neuropsychology supervision to graduate students, although this is not required.  

The Clinical Psychology PhD Program has a strong tradition of training neuropsychologists and clinical neuroscientists with cutting edge research and clinical methods, including didactic courses beyond the clinical curriculum, training in neuropsychological and cognitive neuroscience laboratories, supervision in our Behavioral Health Clinic, and specialized external practicum placements. Our trainees consistently obtain very highly nationally ranked internships and post-doctoral fellowships and establish careers in clinical science.
