NIH-funded Postdoctoral Positions in Neuroscience,

Two post-doctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Hui Zhang. The research focuses on elucidation of mechanisms underlying Parkinson’s disease at the molecular, cellular and circuit level. The lab is equipped with cutting-edge equipment including 2-photon microscope.
Motivated applicants with a recent Ph.D. in Neuroscience or related field are encouraged to apply. Position A: Experience in slice electrophysiology (patch clamp preferred), 2-photon imaging, and/or optogenetics; Position B: Experience in vesicle trafficking, mitochondria, and/or protein biochemistry. Candidates should also have at least one first author paper published or accepted in a peer-reviewed journal. Good organizational skills and attention to detail are required. The successful candidates will be responsible for independent design and execution of experiments as well as data analysis, interpretation and communication of results. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
