Drake University, a private comprehensive university, seeks applicants for a tenure track, assistant professor of psychology in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience to begin in August 2023.  We are seeking a dedicated teacher-scholar committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching and to advancing an independent research program that involves undergraduate students.  A PhD in psychology, physiological psychology, or closely related field is required prior to the start date. Teaching assignments include introductory psychology, health psychology, drugs and behavior, and courses within the candidate’s area of expertise.  Candidates interested in teaching research methods and statistics, as well as whose research program or teaching interests incorporate themes related to human diversity are strongly encouraged to apply.  The department has animal facilities suitable for small vertebrate animals, and a shared human subjects research space.
