DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY, TRINITY UNIVERSITY: Full-time, tenure-track position (assistant professor), beginning August 1, 2023 in Social Neuroscience.  The successful candidate will be capable of developing an active research program with undergraduates, resulting in peer-reviewed publications.  Specific areas of research could include the mechanisms by which experiences of interpersonal discrimination impact physical and mental health; how one’s standing in a social hierarchy influences their neural, physiological, and behavioral responses; and electrophysiological mechanisms or measures of stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination. Teaching responsibilities include Principles of Psychology, Introduction to Neuroscience, Sensation and Perception and courses in the area of specialization (e.g., Social Neuroscience; Psychology of Bias).  TU has robust Psychology and interdisciplinary Neuroscience majors and the candidate could influence the direction of these majors.
