The laboratories of Saleem Nicola, Kamran Khodakhah and Marta Miquel seek a postdoctoral researcher to explore the novel hypothesis that circuit interactions among the cerebellum, prefrontal cortex and ventral tegmental area contribute to habit learning and performance. The successful candidate will conduct circuit analyses in awake behaving rodents utilizing behavioral, electrophysiological, optogenetic and/or chemogenetic approaches. These studies will be conducted in a highly collaborative environment, and the fellow will have access to state-of-the-art equipment and facilities.
Applicants should have a PhD in neuroscience or similar field. Experience with behavioral and circuit analysis methods is helpful but not required.
This position is fully NIH-funded. Einstein offers a competitive benefits package as well as access to college-subsidized housing near campus.
Applicants should submit a CV and the names and contact information for three references, addressed to Saleem Nicola.
