The Laboratories of Cognitive Neuroscience, under the direction of Charles A. Nelson, Ph.D., seek one or more highly qualified postdoctoral scientists with an interest in neurodevelopment and primary expertise in EEG and related (e.g., evoked potential) methods. The postdoc will have the opportunity to engage in various studies, both domestic and international. This could include supervising and mentoring research coordinators/assistants and undergraduate students, extensive involvement in data processing and analysis, and correspondingly, involvement in manuscript preparation and grant writing. Again, expertise in EEG methodology is essential, including familiarity with EEG, evoked potentials, and event- related potentials; and on the analytic side, the ideal candidate will have experience in advanced signal processing, including time-frequency analysis, functional connectivity and/or cortical source analyses, and machine learning and/or other AI-based tools. Prior programming experience is preferred, with a strong preference for familiarity with MATLAB and/or Python programming environment and associated toolboxes (e.g., EEGLAB/ERPLAB, Fieldtrip, MNE-Python).
