The Department of Anatomy & Neurobiology at Boston University School of Medicine invites applications for an Associate Professor position in Neuroscience starting in Fall 2023. We seek a colleague with a vibrant, well-funded research program to complement and interact with our current research strengths in systems neurobiology, which include investigations of:

    The cerebral cortex and its connectome using imaging, physiological and anatomical approaches at multiple scales in rodents, non-human primates, and humans Normal and neurodegenerative brain aging Neural substrates of cognition and motor control Mechanisms of neuroimmune function in brain health, injury, and disease Cortical and subcortical cell-types and circuits associated with motivated behavior

The successful applicant will synergize with our existing strengths by bringing a research program that uses cutting edge cellular and molecular technologies combined with integrative, multidisciplinary approaches to address basic and/or translational neurobiological questions in animal model systems and/or human brain. The successful applicant will join a strong and growing Boston University interdisciplinary neuroscience research community where departmental research programs have close interactions with neurophotonics, data sciences, bioinformatics, and synthetic and systems biology.

Boston University expects excellence in both teaching and research. Faculty responsibilities will also include teaching at the graduate level, and participation in graduate training through mentoring.
