The Baby Brain Lab at UT Dallas (PI Meghan Swanson:  https://labs.utdallas.edu/babybrainlab/) is looking for a talented postdoctoral fellow to join our team in July/August 2022. The postdoc will be working on two NIH-funded longitudinal studies of caregiver speech and infant brain development. One of these studies is a newly funded R01 that is a collaboration with the Infant Brain Imaging Study (https://ibis-network.com/infant/). Duties include data analysis, manuscript and grant writing, mentorship of Baby Brain Lab trainees, and operating the MRI console during infant sleep scans sessions at the UTD Center for Brain Health. This postdoc fellow will work within a large interdisciplinary team that will bring many opportunities for new collaborations. They will also have access to data from a large legacy study of infants who go on to have autism (N= 500+).

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • previous experience with MRI scanning of infants or children
  • strong statistical and programming skills
  • evidence of publication-quality dissertation research
  • excellent writing and communication skills

 

This is a benefits-earning position that requires a minimum 1-year commitment. Pay is according to the NIH NRSA pay scale. There is the possibility of renewal for subsequent years. A PhD or equivalent in psychology, neuroscience, cognitive neuroscience, or a related field is required. Review of applications will begin on June 20th.
