Work includes molecular biology, cell biology, mouse models, and targeted neuropharmacology. Work broadly applicable to nucleolar dysfunction and neurodegeneration. (2) Study of GNAL-associated dystonia using mouse models. Work includes flow cytometry, engineered mouse models, behavioral assessments of motor functioning, gene expression, in situ hybridization for isoform localization, and epigenetics. (3) Genetics of dystonia and tremor using long-read PacBio sequencing.
