The Department of Psychology at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, NJ, has two openings for the position of Assistant Teaching Professor, starting September 1, 2022. These are non-tenure track annual renewable appointments with a workload of six courses per year (3 per semester) and carries the possibility for a three-year renewable contract after the first year of appointment. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and experience teaching large college classes. We are looking for instructors to teach courses in either behavioral neuroscience (physiological psychology, learning processes, neuropsychology) or clinical psychology (abnormal, personality). Additionally, applicants must be able to occasionally teach other courses that are key parts of the curriculum (e.g., quantitative methods, general psychology). Strong teaching evaluations are a must and experience with innovative instructional techniques is desired.
