Post-doctoral positions: Cellular Quality Control & Synaptic Regulation in Familial Dementias

The Chu Laboratory is seeking creative, collaborative and independently motivated post-doctoral researchers for two positions studying the role of secretory/degradative pathways and synaptic pathobiology in primary neuron, mouse and/or iPSC models of familial dementias. Join an active team of researchers working on FTLD-tau, valosin-containing protein and PINK1, with opportunities to study Golgi/retromer & lysosomal biology or mitochondria.

Requirements: A PhD in cellular and molecular neuroscience, or a related field, along with research experience in one or two of the following areas: live imaging of axonal or dendritic transport, iPSCs-derived neurons, synaptic biology, mitochondrial function, viral transduction of neurons. History of first author publication(s) with excellent written and oral communication skills are desired.
