Job Details

The individual selected for this position will be expected to participate in teaching, scholarly activity, and service/outreach. Teaching responsibilities will be within the undergraduate and/or graduate programs in the general area of systems/integrative physiology and neurobiology. Departmental faculty members also participate in DVM/PhD and postdoctoral training. A new facility that houses a virtual reality learning center and state of the art teaching labs for human gross anatomy and neuroanatomy has recently been completed and a recent partnership with the University of Colorado School of Medicine has introduced medical school education as part of the BMS teaching mission. The initial responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:
 

  • Teaching/coordinating Principles of Human Physiology – in person and online
  • Teaching/coordinating Concepts in Human Anatomy and Physiology – in person and online
  • Teaching/coordinating Introduction to Cellular Neurobiology
  • Supervise and coordinate undergraduate and graduate physiology and neurobiology teaching assistants
  • Serve as an advisor for undergraduate BMS major Honor’s students
  • Contribute to BMS neuroscience and physiology outreach programs
  • Other duties as assigned
