Post Doc

The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biotechnology invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the laboratory of Dr. William Kobertz.

This position is for an applicant who will use cellular imaging and electrophysiological techniques to fluorescently visualize extracellular K+ from mammalian cells and primary neuron-astrocyte co-cultures.  Applicants are expected to be able to design and conduct experiments independently.

Requirements

Full-time postdoctoral position requiring a Ph.D. in neuroscience, physiology, biophysics, or related field.

Whole-cell patch clamp electrophysiology is required.  Isolation, culturing, and recording from of primary neuron-astrocyte co-cultures is required, but not required.
