The University of Chicago, Department of Neurology, Center for Neurocognitive Outcomes Improvement Research (Center NOIR), directed by Dr. Joel Voss, is seeking a research operations and data manager to act as the chief administrator for cognitive neuroscience research projects involving MRI neuroimaging and intracranial EEG. Duties include acting as a liaison to collaborating clinical groups (epilepsy center, brain trauma unit, etc.), working with the laboratory team to develop research protocols and to enforce quality-control standards for a variety of human neuroscience data formats, developing pipelines for recruitment and retention of human research participants, training and directing junior researchers, maintaining laboratory equipment, and working with the PI and laboratory team on IRB submissions, grant applications, manuscripts, reports, and dissemination activities.
This is a salaried (i.e., exempt) position with full University of Chicago benefits, competitive compensation, and many opportunities for career training and long-term career advancement. It is intended for applicants with substantial experience (5+ years) and training (M.S. or higher preferred) in research and research management. Preferred qualifications include previous experience with human-subjects research and specifically with cognitive neuroscience methods.
