We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher with a strong interest in neural cell biology to study post-developmental mechanisms regulating the microtubule motor, cytoplasmic dynein. Our lab focusses on the dynein regulator, LIS1. We are currently interested in mitochondrial dynamics in mature axons, and on phagocytosis by mature astrocytes, and have identified a novel, ASD related point mutation in LIS1.
The successful applicant will hold a PhD in a related field (neuroscience, biology, biochemistry, etc). Applicants with experience in primary neuronal/glial cultures, microscopy, molecular biology, and protein biochemistry are preferred.
