Focused Ultrasound Research Scientist: Incision-less Brain Therapy Research and Development

The candidate will be an integral part of the research team conducting experiments in non-invasive brain drug and gene delivery using focused ultrasound. They will be responsible for accessing the tail vein, conducting FUS experiments, operating a 7T MRI scanner, obtaining subsequent imaging, processing tissue, analyzing data, writing up experimental results, protocols, and manuscripts. . The successful candidate will be expected to present at weekly lab meetings and research conferences, attend guest-speaker presentations and work with our collaborators. 

Prior Experience: Bachelor's degree +1-2 yrs experience, or Master's degree with relevant research experience. Prior experience working with mouse models including animal handling, tail-vein catheterization, tissue harvesting is an asset. Prior experience with tissue processing including immunohistochemistry and microscopy is an asset. Experience with MRI or other imaging modalities is an asset. A preference for candidates with a background in the neurosciences will be given.
