A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Ian Martin in the Jungers Center for Neurosciences Research at OHSU. The primary goal for this position will be to identify molecular mechanisms of Parkinson’s disease pathogenesis linked to genetic and environmental factors. Using a combination of mammalian cell culture and Drosophila in vivo models of neurodegeneration, research in this position will harness genetics, molecular biology, -omics and advanced imaging approaches to study neurodegeneration. The successful candidate will work in the vibrant intellectual environment of the Jungers Center for Neurosciences and adjacent Vollum Institute. Individuals with expertise in molecular biology and working with Drosophila are especially encouraged to apply. Additional information about the Martin lab can be found at https://www.martinlabohsu.com. Candidates interested in applying should send a CV and contact information for at least three references to Ian Martin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
