The Department of Neuroscience and Pharmacology at the University of Iowa has an opening for a postdoctoral researcher to study the the role of monoaminergic systems and neuropeptides in alcohol dependence, depression and Alzheimer’s disease. The lab employs cutting-edge techniques including two-photon imaging, fiber photometry, electrophysiology, chemogenetics and 3D imaging of cleared tissue using transgenic mouse models. We seek enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals who are committed to a scientific career and have the ability to work independently. You will be part of a highly interactive and collaborative team of researchers and have the opportunity to publish in high impact journals.
