Job Details
A full-time, NIH-funded postdoctoral research fellow position is available to study molecular mechanisms underlying learning and memory disorders, with a particular focus on Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and other aging-related cognitive syndromes (https://www.malabalzheimer.com ). Examples of published work include: Zimmermann HR, JCI (PMID: 32213711); Beckelman BC, JCI (PMID: 30667373); Yang W, Mol Psychiatry. (PMID: 32366952); Ma T, J Neurosci. (PMID: 25186765); Ma T, Nat Neurosci. (PMID: 23933749). The successful candidate should be a highly-motivated researcher with a PhD or equivalent degree in the field of biomedical science/neuroscience. Research experience in one of the following areas are desirable but not required: 1) Behavioral analysis of transgenic rodent models; 2) Stereotaxic injection/surgery for gene or drug delivery in rodent brains; and 3) Electrophysiology with brain slices.
