The Massachusetts Eye and Ear (MEE) and the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the Harvard Medical School seek applications from researchers with a focus on speech, voice, hearing and deafness. MEE provides an interdisciplinary and collaborative intellectual environment within an active clinical setting, including over 30 basic-science and clinical investigators studying voice, hearing and balance. MEE researchers hold faculty appointments at Harvard Medical School and have the opportunity to participate in teaching programs for graduate students, medical students and residents, at both Harvard and MIT, including the Program in Speech and Hearing & Bioscience and Technology and Program in Neuroscience.

We are seeking researchers to fill several Instructor level positions in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. We will consider candidates whose research programs involve electrophysiological imaging, biomechanics, cellular, or molecular approaches to studying voice, speech, comparative middle ear and inner ear function/dysfunction, or therapeutics. Candidates must have a PhD or MD, with an outstanding record of postdoctoral research accomplishments, and a strong interest in collaboration with an eye towards clinical implications of their research. Preference will be given to candidates in areas of comparative middle ear studies and neurological voice disorders.
