Assistant Professor, Neuroscience

The Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences (BSBS) at the University of Central Florida (UCF), College of Medicine, invites outstanding applicants for a nine-month, non-tenure earning position of Assistant Professor of Medicine. The selected individual will have undergraduate and graduate student teaching responsibilities in the area of neuroscience on main campus, as well as service at the department, college, or university level. Other aspects of the position can include mentoring students, leading undergraduate honors in the major projects, and mentoring Master’s nonthesis capstone projects. The anticipated start date is between May 1, 2022 and August 8, 2022.

The UCF College of Medicine is a research-based medical school with a culture based on partnerships and collaboration. As part of the UCF College of Medicine, the Burnett School has 53 full-time faculty, nearly 3,000 undergraduate majors and 140 graduate students in MS, PhD, and MD/PhD programs. Undergraduates interested in neuroscience can also join the Neuroscience Alliance student group. UCF is one of the nation’s largest universities with over 70,000 students. To meet minimum requirements for this position, candidates must have a Ph.D. from an accredited institution in a discipline appropriate to the Burnett School. Prior undergraduate teaching experience at an accredited institution of higher education is preferred.
