The Saalmann Lab in the Wisconsin National Primate Research Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking to hire a postdoctoral researcher to investigate the neural basis of consciousness. Projects include Neuropixels recordings and brain stimulation during visual perception tasks or under general anesthesia.
The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team, using a range of electrophysiology, neuroimaging, and computational methods (https://saalmannlab.psych.wisc.edu/). This position will involve collaboration with scientists from the Allen Institute for Brain Science, INSERM, Sorbonne University, University of Pennsylvania, and Stony Brook University.
A PhD in neuroscience, engineering or related field is required. Experience in electrophysiology, signal processing and primate behavioral training would be highly valued.
