Postdoctoral Research Associate- Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, University of Illinois

Postdoctoral position is available at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The successful candidate will be working on molecular and cellular pathways underlying cognitive dysfunction in Alzheimer’s disease. The successful candidate will conduct multidisciplinary scientific research using a variety of techniques, such as iPS cells, optogenetics and animal models. Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree; preference will be given to those with a strong publication record, experimental skills and background in molecular neuroscience or stem cell research. The applicant should possess excellent communication skills and be able to take responsibility for the design, execution and direction of the research.
