Job Details

The Princeton Neuroscience Institute at Princeton University invites applications at the Assistant Professor level (tenure track) in theoretical neuroscience. In addition to other outstanding neuroscience resources at Princeton, a 248,000 square foot building houses state-of-the-art computing resources for modeling and data analysis, as well as for the full range of neuroscientific methods, including human brain imaging, cellular and circuit level imaging and recording in animal model systems, and studies of non-human primates.

Key selection criteria will include research track record, originality of science, and anticipated impact on the field of neuroscience and related disciplines. Applicants must have a proven record of research productivity and demonstrate the ability to develop a rigorous research program. The Institute is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community. We strongly encourage applications from individuals who identify as members of groups that are underrepresented in science. Applicants should be prepared to teach courses both at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Applicants must apply online at https://www.princeton.edu/acad-positions/position/23041 and include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a brief summary of current and proposed research, and contact information for at least three references. For fullest consideration, materials should be received by November 18, 2021. Princeton offers a range of services and resources to promote the health and well-being of faculty members and their families in support of work-life balance and childcare.
